Use the blue line on the left hand side of your machine as a guide to align your mat.
Load media load mat cameo 3.
Adjust the blade if necessary and click send.
When loading a cutting mat into your silhouette align the mat with the white rollers.
If you are cutting media without using a cutting mat select none in the cutting mat options.
Do you have a cameo 2 or cameo 3.
After it is done cutting unload the material.
To turn the mat on or off go to design page settings cutting mat and then select the mat you are using or not using.
Line the mat up with the blue line on the left hand side of your machine.
I like to cut most of my vinyl without a mat because the majority of the time i am using rolls of vinyl instead of sheets.

I had the same thing happen to me and i was so frustrated.
If in your software your design has a cutting mat under the work space the machine will load mat.
Select load cut mat from the display.
When you load a job that does not have a cutting mat into the cameo 3 machine simply press the load button on your touch screen.
If you are using a sheet of vinyl most often you will cut using a mat.
Now select load on your cameo 3.
The cameo 3 just has a load and unload button only.
The cameo 3 load options are determined by which mat is specified in the design page settings of the silhouette studio software.
Make sure you select load media and not load cut mat if you use cameo 2.
Load your media into your machine.
Now it seems so simple.

If you do not have a cutting mat the machine will load media.
There is no load media button on the machine only load and unload buttons.
Line up your mat with the colored line and then load your mat.
Make sure the arrow on the top of the mat is pointing into the machine.
When you remove the cutting mat from your file in silhouette studio the machine knows that you are cutting without a mat and will advance your material into the machine at the correct distance.
Your machine will roll your mat into the cutting area.
